PLEASE DONATE TO THE CSA COVID-19 RELIEF FUND FOR MAY

The coronavirus crisis is being taken seriously in Kenya, with all schools shuttered, markets closed, and a curfew in effect.  These important measures also mean the economy has ground to a halt and family guardians' meager income from day-labor and micro-business has dried up. Homes are full of children, and many guardians are pleading with us, telling us that they have no money for food or hygiene items such as soap.

As we did in May, with help of our partners at the Kakamega Care Centre and support from  generous donors, we  will send in June at least $38 to each family. This is enough for a family of 5 to eat one meal per day for a month, plus buy a month's worth of soap and other necessities. Fortunately, Kenyans and KOCC use mobile money transfers called "M-Pesa", a safe and efficient alternative to cash.

100% OF ALL FUNDS RAISED WILL BE  SENT TO FAMILIES OF OUR 137 STUDENTS. Any additional funds we raise will be saved for the following month or sent to the families as needed.
